Clean Tech Leadership Program

ACCIONA Energy’s commitment to sustainable development extends to creating the next generation of renewable energy leaders. The Clean Tech Leadership Program (CTLP) is illustrative of the exciting culture and career opportunities at ACCIONA Energy.

Launched in July 2008, the CTLP is a two-year rotational leadership program targeting recent MBA graduates with a passion for clean technology and sustainability.

CTLP Associates rotate through 3-4 functional departments within ACCIONA Energy North America, including project development, finance, manufacturing, marketing/business development, operations and maintenance, and power marketing. With career experience in multiple disciplines within ACCIONA, individuals can take on full-time roles that best fit their skills and interests, as well as provide a company-wide perspective to their business division.

Education is the cornerstone of the CTLP. Participants take clean-technology career training courses on critical topics such as:

  • Wind Energy 101
  • Wind Resource Assessment
  • Financing Wind Projects
  • Wind Turbine Technology
  • Power Marketing Overview
  • Construction Process
  • System Operation Center
  • Interconnection Process

The CTLP also presents opportunities for wind farm and solar plant site visits, conference participation and a tour of ACCIONA’s wind-turbine manufacturing plant in Iowa. The CTLP is based out of ACCIONA’s North American headquarters in Chicago, IL. CTLP associates may also have opportunities to participate in rotations and training at ACCIONA’s global headquarters in Spain. The CTLP provides individuals the unique opportunity to get exposure to senior leaders in multiple renewable-energy technologies.
